so my engine has been acting rather strange shifting way to high, when I stop the rpm hesitate to go down then go to far down, lack of throttle response in some cases , even stalled three times on slow sharp turns. I replaced the tps that helped most of the problems but still isn't driving right

clean you IAC and see how it runs

I would say the IAC also but if you go through the trouble of taking it off, just replace it with a new one. Idle Air Control! Air goes through there and really not meant for liquids. Cleaning it has been known to work but it's only temporary compared to going with a new one.

Maxx can get you an OEM and it's gonna be around the $50 to $60 range for one. I have bought IAC's from AZ and they work fine too.

Not saying the IAC is going to fix the problem but since you replaced the TPS, you may as well do the IAC also just so you'll know and eliminate the two of them being the problem.

I'm not bashing the cleaning of an IAC. I personally wouldn't put one on my car that has been cleaned.

I cleaned many IAC's never had a problem after
cleaned the one on my 97 4 years ago and still works
IF he had a gen 1 then I would say put a new one in but its so
easy on a gen 2 why not clean it

On a Gen 2, yes, I would clean just to see if it was the problem but for sure on a Gen 1, I would replace with new. Too much hell involved on the Gen 1 to only clean and not know if it was cleaned as good as new.

it's a Gen 2, happen to have a cleaner one laying around cleaned it up hope it works thanks
