Engine fill hose question

I'm sure this has been asked/answered already, however I haven't been able to find anything about it in the search. On my 2000 V8 I'm replacing the hose between the engine fill housing and whatever the plastic part it connects to( which bolts to the engine at the bottom), and I'm curious if I remove that plastic tube assembly if I'll need gaskets for it, and if it needs to be torqued to a specific rating.

I think he's taling about the crossmember tube that connects on both sides of the engine and have the five inch hose that connects it to the engine fill tower.

If you take the crossover tube assembly off the engine I would advise you to just replace the O rings to. That way it save you problems down the road.

I just re-appropriated the photo for illustrative purposes.



Is there a name and/or part number for this? I noticed that the piece in question is made of plastic, and I'm curious if anyone manufactures a metal version, or would the materials used be inconsequential in this application. My biggest question is if that needs to be torqued, and if it has gaskets that would need to be replaced. This is my daily driver, otherwise I would pull it apart and see.

That's the plastic coolant outlet pipe. Dealer sells them. Gaskets are reusable. For the hose, I just found a radiator hose I had lying around and cut 2" of it off to use.
