Engine Compatibility

Hey LVC. I had an account here a while ago but can't seem to find my username/password. Well I had a question for you guys. What engines are compatible with the 3.0 duratec in the Lincoln ls? I saw that the same base engine is used in the ford contour, mercury cougar, mazda6, etc. I know the performance part market is pitiful for the ls past an intake, a bottle, and tune, but I was curious as to whether or not the mods from those cars would fit. I can see that there are more then enough cougar parts, but I can't seem to find anything about the compatibility of the two. Thanks!

the only engine that is compatible in the LS is an LS motor, dont expect a lot of bolt on parts for any of those cars to work as every one of them has the motor mounted in the wrong direction.

Ah ok. Still, if I was to do minor modification in regards of spacing, orientation, etc, would I be able to use the parts in other 3.0 engines?

The accessory drive and cooling is unique to the LS, so there aren't many compatible things.
Internals for the v6 will be easier to find, but not necessarily performance.
