Emissions equip help

Hello all,

I'm an infrequent poster, but very frequent lurker. I have a 2002 LSE, v6 with the getrag manual transmission that I got about a year go. I Absolutly love the car. I've had the usual problems, all have been replaced thanks to this sight. Wheel bearings, brakes, rear lateral links, front sway bar bushings, coils coils and more coils. Love it. But I have a new problem Nd I cannot for the life o me, find the part for it. I'm looking for the tubing that goes from the egr valve to behind the intake manifold. If u go to

The part number I'm in need of is part number 9e498, which according to any source I've come across online, as well as through my local (very sketchy though) ford-lincoln dealer, is no longer available. Unfortunately, I live in California and this is a requirement come smog test time.

My next step would be seeing if maybe a Taurus with the duratec has the same or similar part, but I haven't started looking that route. Anyone have any possible insight?

You might have to cobble-up some vacuum line and connectors. That's what I had to do here......

v6's sit in junkyards with the engines quite a lot. v8's have the drivetrain disappear quickly. Check the local yards.

Otherwise, post some clear pictures with the part highlighted, and folks here will look for it the next time they're at a yard. I don't go regularly, but put together a list and try to head out every few months.

Yea thanks guys, ill try to get a pic posted for u, on my phone ATM at work. The junkyards near me are pretty clean of LS unfortunately. Every time I go there is maybe one there buts its usually picked clean by that point

Sorry guys about the lack of updates, I had a case blow up at work yesterday and pretty been working straight through since yesterday. I'm goin to try and check out a local pick-n-pull tomorrow that swears they have a gen 1 ls v6, so fibers crossed. Otherwise I might have to get fancy and cobble something together like ls4me said.
