Anyone able to help/confirm the following with me ?

2001 LS V8

CEL = P0136

= 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 2)
= Oxygen O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 2)

(Bank I Sensor 2) = Right side (passenger) after CAT ?

I plan on changing both after CAT out is this is the problem.

MOTORCRAFT Part # DY1034 {#5W6Z9G444BA, DY1013} Heated

That should be the driver side rear O2. Seems like there's quite a few of us with the low circuit code now...hmm.

Bank 1 = Drivers side.

10-4 thank you for your help.

Bank 1 = Drivers side.
...

In the UK and Japan. Over here, the right side is the passenger side and is bank 1. Bank 2 is on the left side, which is usually the driver's side.

Bank 1 is cylinders 1 to 4, and bank 2 is cylinders 5 to 8 (or 1 to 3 and 4 to 6).

back to the passenger side, thanks jolinc01!

this is what I first thought to as I recall changing out coils when I had a problem on cylinder #3 which I thought was on the passenger side.

So an easy way to remember this is to stand in front of the motor and read left #1 and right #2 (read left to right pages like a book)

I may have to affix some labels under the hood.

thanks Joegr!

Hmm now I need to get under mine, swap the 2 rear O2 sensors, and see if that fixes my light then.

I like to buy/fix things in pairs ... kinda like getting out of the shower and only putting one clean sock on <shivers> lol
One light bulb out, I replace both. One lower tie rod done, I replace both.

Thanks for the confirmation...

I got a CEL last week and picked up the P0420 code.
Went to Amazon for a price check (Motorcraft DY1034) Oxygen Sensor: $39.60

Oddly enough, I cleared the code with the OBDII reader and never did order the sensors and never got the fault error again.

I have no idea ... other than I own the self correcting LS model.
