i can't get my lincoln emblem off my stock grille, i tried a hair dryer like it says in the LVC tech article but i can't get it to budge, really don't feel like purchasing a new one when i have a perfectly fine one right here..

i went around it with an exacto knife to cut the chrome so it didnt splinter or warp, then just used a paint scraper to pry it off.

While on the topic, and sorry to jack the thread, what lincoln Ls edition had gold on black emblems and gold "LINCOLN" "LS" badges? Saw one last week, also had gold pinstripes.

I used the hair dryer on mine... had to heat both sides for a couple minutes, then poked it out by sticking a wire hanger through the back. I'm assuming you're installing a mclaren grille, right? make wure to drill a hole in the new grille before applying the emblem, in case you want to remove it later...

it took me a while too. heat the thing up real good and then try using dental floss to get behind it. dont give up. keep working at it and you should get it.

Whatever you do don't use a screwdriver to pry it out. You will mess up the chrome and possibly break the emblem in half.

You can use lighter fluid to soften the sticky tape and continue to use dental floss it will come off.
