New to the forum.. I searched the first ten pages and wasn't able to find much I'm hoping some of the veterans on here can point me in the right direction. I picked up an 00 LS Stupid cheap and have began throwing my money at her to bring it back from the dead. The current problem I'm stumped on is the rear tail lights. Upon purchasing it I noticed both right rear marker lights were not on, while the car is running. I turned the 4-ways on and they worked as well as the brake lights so I figured it's just a bulb. Sure enough I open it up and the bulb on the right side of the trunk is burnt so I replace it, still nothing.. fuses are all good. Upon reading some threads I've read that the REM can be the blame for this as well as the heated seats and cig lighter not working. If you guys know how I can test this rem before replacing it I'd love to know. Now it does need a battery.. and from previous luxury cars I've had I know they can act wonky while they're looking for some constant juice.

Cheers guys, Chris.

Change the battery first so you know that isnt your problem. You will need one sooner or later.

Certainly you should replace the battery before messing with the REM.

The bulb sockets should be suspect too.

Will do, I've been having a hard time finding one.. Parts Source & Canadian Tire have both said they cannot get me one. I've been trying to get a hold of an old friend who is a ford tech since I need a clockspring as well
