I currently have 4300K HIDS for my low beams and I love them (bought from Ken)

I recently bought a set of HIDS for the high bemas as well but these are strictly for show for they are 12000K. I have one problem, when turned on they flicker, unless they are hardwired. I woud imagne it has something to do with the high beams running off a realy or the low beam circuit.

My question is this: What/Where is the best spot to wire the positive too. I am going to hardwire them to a switch and I will bring the grounds through the firewall and into the dash. This way I can have them on WHENVER I want, no other lights, w/ parking lights, w/ low beams whatever. Is there a good wire to tap into under the hood? The battery is in the back so I dont want to run all the way to that. Is there anything on that fuse department I could tap that would always have constant power?

There is in the fuse box under the hood. One of the pins is + and on all the time. I used to have my 1st Gen Devil Eyes kit connected to it.

Use multimeter set to read voltage.
Connect (touch) one lead to ground (anything bare metal) another to the pin. It should read about 12V, when ignition is off. Dont short circuit anything.

That pin looks like a tab, about ¼" wide.

no not yet, i wont do this until I am home, still at shcool until the 9th, then the HIDS, springs, and 3.58 are all goin in. If I cant find it...can I call you? I still have your # from when we went to the track.

I'll try to take a pic of it tomorrow.
I'll have to look at it to know

I checked those 4 tabs in my car and they are "on" with ignition off. I don't know how much current they can give, but I had my 1st Gen DDE kit connected to one of them and it was fine.

Keep your grounds AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE. Run 'em straight to the frame for the best possible grounding. The only thing you need inside the car is a switch and power/ground wires for JUST that switch. DO NOT run high amp wires through the firewall to a switch in the dash. It will melt under the draw from the lights.

Hook up 2 high amp relays, one for each light, and run a power wire straight from the battery supply at the fuse box to each one. The switch provides to power the relays, and the relays provide power to the lights.
