In my 96 I am looking to replace the EDIS. I switched to COP but I'm more or less wondering if I need a module from a 96 anyway or if I can also install a 97 or 98 - or SHOUlD I install a 97/98 anyway.

I thought the gen 2 didn't have a separate one. I thought it was built in to the PCM.

I dunno. I cant even find mine! But someone said I would have to swap them if I went to COP. Well, my car is not running right and I did have the COP wired wrong so it may have been damaged.

My 94's have them under the plastic cover above the driver's side airspring in the engine compartment.

I'm not sure, but I think the 96 didn't have them either.

I think you are right, or someone stole mine - maybe thats why its not running right.... lol

Well anyone know for sure whats up with EDIS and OBD II?

There is no EDIS with OBDII - so that means not on '96 and up.
