The domestic rotors are coated in gold the import rotors are coated in black. The coating is to prevent rust and wears off pretty quick.

I used all EBC pads and rotors on my last car and my wifes car, over $1K in pads and rotors and they lasted less than 2 years. I will never use them again.

gold is for import vehicles. I got black ones. I checked EBC's website. LS rotors come in gold.

but ls isn't foreign.. and the second link i posted show the picture of black and stainless rotors.. it even says in the description.. black powercoat or zinc something.. furthermore to the guy who put ebc rotors on his wifes car.. they're performance rotors how long did you expect them to last?

either way i figured it out it was a miss ship and the correct front and back rotors are on the way...

That's just it, my wife doesn't drive her car hard so shouldn't parts built to take abuse last longer if they don't get the abuse?

i ordered an ebc rotor kit for my rear end.. the kit shown in the link below... i got them today and they are the all gold rotors.. i wanted the silver faced black power coat... like shown in the picture..

The GD series rotors have a gold finish to them. If you are wanting the black finish you will need to get the USR series like the ones we sell here:
