ebay o2 sensors

Save yourself the trouble and get your O2 sensors from www.sparkplugs.com, www.rockauto.com, or the local parts store. For $10 more a piece you can get a quality brand part, and a company that you can count on in the rare situation that a problem does pop up.

Some things are ok generic; O2 sensors not so much.
 
well i checked out rock auto shortly after i posted this and they sell the same ones but 10 bucks more each. The bosch was my next choice and iirc they were 34+shipping..When the money comes in i'll have a better feeling as to wich i'll get.
 
My understanding is that the Bosch O2s are not that great as well. Couldnt say first hand, just what I have read on here.
 
I have read that here too.....after I put them in my 93.
They worked for the year and a half I kept the car after the install.

Motorcraft was recommended to me.

On a gen one I wouldn't get cheapies.


Total PITA to install.

Haven't done them in a gen 2
 
i think there just as bad in a g2.

When i get them my buddies doing them, or atleast the hard one..i think i can do the other..
 
I bought a cheap a55 02 sensor off ebay, it lasted 3 years, i just replaced it last week.
 
any gas mileage diff???Mine arent throwing any codes but im pretty sure there original. IIrc 1 was lazier on my buddies machine then the other but still within spec.

When it comes to O2 Sensors, don't be cheap. You'll save money in the long run with long lasting and WELL WORKING sensors.

Your car's computer uses the O2 Sensors (along with other sensors) to calculate just how much fuel it needs to squirt into the cylinders. If the cheapie o2 sensor is not up to the job of accurately telling the ECU what the exhaust is doing, you risk crappy fuel economy or worse, very good fuel economy along with a nice hole in the engine as a result of running lean.

Be thankful you don't have to spend close to 600 dollars each for Wideband O2 Sensors like I do.
 
Froggy, why are you buying $600 wideband sensors? I have a wideband and they are $150 each. I have had several wideband setups and dont remember paying over $200 for a sensor.
 
ok, so the upstream and downstream sensors are the same correct? Most of the places im looking list them as the same and some slightly different. Depending on the brand.
 
i have the smp o2 sensors and i hvent had a problem will them and i have 2 extras if u want them for 50.00?
