Greetings all,

There are plenty of post about this problem but I'm a bit stumped.

The lights are on constantly but when I turn the engine on and if I press the TC switch a few times the lights turn off and the system actually works.

I don't have any loose connectors in the wheel wells as previous post have pointed to.

Should I just take it to the dealer and let them explain? or are there a few items I could check? and perhaps figure this issue out?

It just hit 140,000 miles, which I'm shocked I've made it this far.:D

Thanks !

I'll defer to Joe when he gets on, but my first suspicion would be the wheel speed sensors. I don't think you can check them without the specialty code readers, though. Might have to pay the dealer a diagnostic fee and go from there.

Its more than likely a front sensor. From what I read is that if the rear sensor was bad the speedo would be jumping around. If it is a front, its best to replace the whole hub since they come with sensors and your hub might fail soon anyway.

Thanks guys! I guess I will be checking it out. I know my lower ball joint needs to be replaced guess I'll be ordering the complete part.

Thanks again!

I have a similar issue, but only in cold weather. Never a problem during the summer months. I brought it in for diagnosis, and even went for a drive with the tech while I watched the wheel speed sensor inputs.

While the system was working, the speed sensors were reading accurately. When the warning lights would go on, There was no info displayed from either sensor. He said "probably moisture in a connector", since there was a problem with BOTH sensors at exactly the same time. Don't know where that connector is, nor have I researched it any further to find out if he wasn't just blowing smoke.
