E-trading/brokers?? Any one trading??

Hey everyone, Just one simple question:
I want to start in stock investing. I've been saving up to open up an account, but I don't know who to go with.

AmeriTrade? E-Trade? TDWaterhouse? the list goes on and on.

Does anyone have an account? Who did you go w/? And why did you pick them? How much is it for each trade?
