Dumb question

After I bought my mark I went out and bought some transmission fluid and filter but I don't know if I got the correct fluid? I got Hurst hot shift ATF says it meets requirements of dexron.

Nope the Marks are happeist(require?) Mercon V.

now ford says that mercon V has been reformulated to work with mercon III, so now they are (supposedly) mixable, and they arnt even making III anymore. id go with a flush of V

The guy at auto zone said that dexron and mercon are the same
