So Im pretty sure I got a bad bearing in my diff or something of that sort. The noise coming from it kinda sounds like my rim is hitting the caliper but Ive checked multiple times to see if something was in contact but came up empty handed. Can anyone help me verify this without myself removing the rearend?

Lift the rear wheels off the ground and run it (well blocked and chocked and chained for safety). If something is bent and rubbing, you'll find it. If it is an axle/diff bearing, then it will likely stop without the weight load on it.

i believe our rides are good for junk wheel bearings....and i believe I have the same issue

Yea I was actually thinking more about it being a wheel bearing, I gotta go push my Trans Am outta the way so I have a flat place to jack it up and everything, Im gonna hit Oriely's first and see how much a wheel bearing is first tho..

Wheel bearing isn't much. Around $50 IIRC if you look online. You have to get the knuckle out and take it to a shop to have the new one pressed in though. (unless you just happen to have a press) But that shouldn't be more than maybe a half hour labor time.

It was the wheel bearing.. :( So much for having an excuse to do the 8.8 swap..
