OK, guys. I hate asking questions, but thats what the forum is for. lol. I'm parting out the 97 and a couple people want the fuel sending unit and the "cup" it sits in. Is there any access under the back seat or do i need to drop the tank? What is the best way to drop the tank if thats what i have to do? Trying to get this done sometime this week. Hit me up with all that knowledge.

If you remove the strap on the pass side, and both bolts on dvr side you do not need to drop exhaust or shaft. You will need to remove filler to tank hose, fuel and vent lines and the line above the rear of shaft. If there is fuel in the tank be prepared for a mess.

I just did a pump in a 96 and that's how I did it.

it's really alot easier than it seems...

dropping the exhaust is easy and you dont have to mess with the driveshaft because it's "above" the tank.

the exhaust doesnt "go over" the rear end, so it's stupid simple to remove.

I replaced a fuel pump, laying on the ground in the pits at the dragstrip and STLL made it to "round 1".

Dont be skurred..it's easy

yea....take it from me...i had to do it 3 times in my mark....lol its cake....drop the exnaust and the tank...1..2..3 done..
