Drop Kit

I'm pretty new to these parts, but I think the Eibach kit is the kit of choice. Can be found lots of places.

From what I hear they are not that great of a feel and they cost significantly more.

I see alot of people going with the sprints, from what I hear its a better feel and a lower stance.

Im doing mine sometime soon but I just gotta get the balls to waste that kinda cash.

Sprint srings, Canuck Motorsports, Eibachs. Just do a search for springs on here. You'll find a ton of info.

treanor21,
I did mine myself, and its good to have help.
#1, have a good jack, with at least 2 jack stands.
#2, Buy/rent/steal/borrow a GOOD spring compressor.
Do one end at a time, and take your time.
I took my time, and with a friend, we knocked it out in 2 1/2 hours.
I did the Eibachs, and I only notice the ride when I am on bad roads. Otherwise, it rides great, and handles better than stock.

Even if it didnt ride as well, and didnt handle any better, it looks sweet!

The fronts are a bit harder, due to the front suspension, but the rears were harder to remove and replace, due to the tubes they run up into.

I dont know about the sprints, but they get you a good matched set from Eibach.

Good luck!

I have the Canuck Motorsports springs, I LOVE the look dropped 1.6". I'm pretty sure there's a tech article on the springs somewhere but it's pretty easy.

lift the car, take off the wheel, loosen the shock tower nuts, remove the bottom shock bolt, wiggle the shock/spring assembly out, mark where the top boot sits in comparison to the bottom of the shock assembly(I took a yardstick and lined it up straight and marked it on 4 corners with duct tape).

Then once it's off compress the spring, loosen to boot, take the boot off, take out the spring, loosen the compressors, compress the new spring, slide it over, put the boot on(make sure you line it up or you'll be pissed once you have to recompress the spring), tighten the bolts(I picked up all new hardware just to do some work while i was down there), repeat 3 times.

Garbone is right, the fronts are much more work, I don't know what he's saying with the rears, they were EXTREMELY easy, took me about 30 minutes on each rear.

I would recommend the Canuck Motorsports if you want to have the slammed look, the Eibachs are more subtle but still look clean!

has anyone here ever switched around and tried different types?
i've been thinking about getting springs for a while now and my biggest concern is handling, would the handling of the eibachs, sprints, or cannucks all be about the same? i don't mind the ride being more stiff either

and another question that i have is does anyone know why the eibachs lower the car 1.0/1.1 as opposed to the rest of the springs that are either 1.6/1.6 or 1.3/1.3 where the front and back are lowered the same amount?
