Draining transmission pan on 2001 LS

Could the tranny pan be drained by just removing the larger nut on the bottom of the pan?

yes you can just drain the pan by removing the larger plug but you must remove the little torx in the center of the larger plug to fill the transmission

you actually fill it from the right hand side of the tail stock on the rear and there are directions how to do it stamped on the tail stock where the fill plug is and also on the pan
