I had a 2.5 in dual exhaust with a custom fab X after the cats out to 2 Borla Pro XS mufflers last year. Since then I have been seeing a lot of people running 2 X pipes on their Mark... Why? Does it change the sound at all? I hate the "boaty" sound I ave at idle but the rest sounds fine. Maybe a cure for that??....:shifty:
Maybe someone has a comparison video.....

I honestly don't understand the point of 2 of the same thing. Mufflers yes, but you only need one crossover. And I wouldn't say there is a lot of people doing it. Seems the other way around to me. That is a pointless endeavour.

The more curves the exhaust has, the quieter it is.

And less flow.
indeed, a straight path decreases resistance
I guess the second crossover x may help to balance back pressure? I've got one and after I added it it was a more unified sound
flow volume will be the same regardless of the path....flow rate (vol/time) changes with pipe diameter and resistance (from bends)...sound changes with attenuation or destructive interference (from a baffle made to a specific length)...curves = attenuation, i.e less sound at the bumper when energy from the exhaust hits the lower pressure atmosphere

I run 2 cause geno recommended it
I hate the drone in our camaro and didn't want a repeat
I have only put the x pipes in and everything else is stock currently
