that right, scosche just started to make a double din dash kit for ALL LS's

so for all of you guys that have been wanting to do a double din but are not that sure about all the extra work with the factory nav bezel then this is for you. the person at scosche that i talked to said they should be in my shop be mid august

It says "painted to match factory dash" ... although I doubt it. The picture looks flat black, and the gen2 LS has a silver finish. The gen1 LS is different... not sure what color. There is no place to indicate which color you need when ordering.

Still a great deal though.
 
i can make a carbon fiber overlay for that.

Mine came in the mail today. Looks great and has the exact same finish as the rest of the black plastic in the dash. Now I've just got to get a deck to fill it.

i think i would've done it the other way around, deck first and then the kit
 
nope, it is worth 16 bucks to me to see the quality of the kit. Didn't really have plans for a double din cause didn't want to cut the factory bezel but with this one now I've just got to pick a deck
 
i would check out the new avic F series just like the D series but now they use flash based nav(no disc) the nav, IPod, and the bluetooth is all built in with no modules to hide. plus the new voice control is amazing. the higher up model has msn direct so along with trafic updates you can also get gas prices, movie times, weather updates, and all sorts of cool $hit.
