so i'm putting in the cobra intake, and i'm debating wheather or not to keep the EGR. i've been reading some past threads and from what i've been reading bad things could happen if it is removed. i was thinking about rigging it up with some silicone hose and extra EGR tubing

Well there are not benefits to its removal. Up to you. I dont have mine because it was easier to go without.

i am not using mine either and it runs like a scaulded dog... no regrets.

No sacrifice, no victory.. the old Witwicky motto
haha

oh ok.

is there a trick to taking it out and NOT haveing a check engine light? i know on some cars if you just block off the tube, but leave the sensors pluged in, you have no light, can we do that on the OBD-I marks?

I believe on OBD I cars you will not get a CE light.

While we are on the subject, does anyone know on an OBD II car if you have the EGR turned off in the tune will an inspection station be able to tell it';s turned off. Basically if I live in a state the doesnt dyno OBD II cars but scans the computer will I pass inspection with the EGR turned off?
