Door latch out of adjustment 54 caddy

Working on 1954 cadillac and outside driver door handle when you try to open button goes halfway and will not open. You can open from inside. It is out of adjustment. Tried to adjust but can't figure it out. Need info on how to adjust so it will open from outside. Any info will be helpful..
