I have a starting issue that just started today. The car started great this morning.
When I was leaving work. I tried starting it, and I could her the starter clicking. Then after 5 tries it started to turn over but only for a second then it would stop. As if the battery was dead. Once I took the key out of the start position the alarm would start going off.
So I would hit unlock on the keyfob. Lock, unlock and retry and the same thing would happen. After 20 tries or so It would almost start, but the starter would stop cranking right before it got going or I think the car might shut down, as it was starting. Then the alarm would go off.
Then it starts.
I drive home.
starts fine 5 more times in a row.
Go out late at night same problem again about 8-10 minutes of screwing around to get it going again.
Could it be alarm problems, relay or my new starter is a faulty one?

I would check the connections on the starter too. This happened in my taurus. One of the connections (i think the positive but i cant remember) had corrosion on it and wasnt making the proper connection. It would do the same thing, the starter would click and do nothing else. I just cleaned the connections with sand paper and it worked fine. Good luck!

well the car mostly turns over but only for a second only. almost like an antitheft is working. If you give it a couple minutes after then it will start fine. and sevral starts after that.

Check and tighten your battery cables. One is probably a little loose, and its getting enough juice through to power the car but not enough to turn the starter. Check the power cable on the starter as well and make sure its nice and tight.
