Does SCT work with Vista?

HAHAHA! How did you know I would stray my attention XLR? HAHAHAHA!

I'm getting a new tune emailed over in about 10 minutes. As soon as it comes over I'll go into those options and post up the verdict.

well if he sends a new tune.. dont change anything until you see what it does.

How did I know you would stray..because "I" do when I get into the On Device Options.
Bad thing...because your cooling fan is running the whole time, unless you pull the relay or unplug the fan <(I unplug the fan..it's easier)

Just go ahead and load the new tune..and see if it shifts, if it doesnt..then check the ODA.

Okay so got a new alternator put in and a new battery so the charging error and batt light are FINALLY off and the car is running ok in that sense.

As soon as I uploaded the 4th tune that was now sent over for this issue I'm being given another set of codes again:

P1131 Lack of hO2's lean (B1, S1)
P1151 Lack of hO2's lean (B2, S1)
P1000 OBD system readiness test not complete
P1519 intake manifold runner controller stuck open (B1)

After I clear the codes the P1000 remains on regardless.

So what is going on? He said he eliminated the O2 sensors in the tune, so why is it throwing codes for the o2's?

What about the other things?

well p1000 is normal after a flash

the 02heater errors shouldnt be there i wonder if S1 indicates he turned the heater off on the primary 02 instead of the secondary.

does it shift now?
these cels should really affect drivability unless the primary heaters are off..if so it should run fine once warmed up.

found this online..

Ford – Lack Of Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 Switches – Sensor Indicates Lean

"The codes are a P1131 or a P1151, the P1131 is related to B1 S1 (Bank 1 Sensor 1" <---that IS the primary sensor

"If both, P1131 and P1151 trouble codes are set at the same time, the problem will most likely be attributed to a vacuum leak past the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor or something else that would likely affect BOTH banks. If the problem is only causing one code or the other, but NOT both, the problem will most likely be something that would affect one bank, like a bad O-2 sensor or a fuel injector; the most common cause of a single code either the P1131 or P1151 in my experience has been a bad Oxygen sensor.

It's both codes simultaneously. It threw all of those codes before all of this happened (after the cats were disemboweled) so I asked him for a tune to fix this. That is when all of the issues started with the tune.

After all the stuff it shifts good again (but doesn't shift nearly as strong) and the codes that made me contact him in the first place are all there again.

Oh, and it does affect driveability. The car jumps up and down in the rpms like I'm revving the engine even though my foot is nowhere near the gas. I upped the idle rpms a bit in the adv options and that seemed to so far stop the revving issues.

Damn Tommy, mess with this stuff much? :p

I don't know if I should envy you or feel sorry for you for knowing all this info Lol Jk

sounds like they "fell back and regrouped" on the tune file/started from scratch....to solve the shifting issue.

maybe he forgot to add in the custom settings you'd asked for?
should be an easy fix..wish you had the software...it'd be alot easier to fix it, rather than just talk about the possible causes.

hell if you gutted the cats the primary 02's shouldnt be messed with..only the rear 02's.

feel SORRY!!!

its ALL i have been messing with since '06...lol

sometimes it still makes my brain hurt, especially when trying to figure out were someone zigged rather than zagged.

and...the more i learn(still learning everyday) the more i learn there is alot more to learn

finding the answer to 1 question usually creates 4 more questions, its a vicious cycle

See like I said the Socrates of SCT.....Socrates said "True wisdom is knowing you know nothing" ie you realize no matter how much more you know than others, it's still only a small bit compared to the overall scope of knowledge.

I'll call him on Monday and tell him about the O2's.

What about the intake runner code?

What about the intake runner code?

that def sound like you have a stuck imrc...or the controller is misreporting that its stuck...its not something that the tune would/could cause.

the imrc has to stick 3 times before the code sets, so if you flash it back to stock it might not instantly come bacj might take 3 or more wot runs to duplicate the code setting
