that feel when you roll the windows down for the first time in a lonnngg time.
that cringe when you think the plastic crap on the regulators are gonna break
that sound of the window breaking away from the dirty caked up channels from the top.

does anyone grease the top edges of their side windows so theres no sticking?
i feel like this is a major assistant in the plastic breaking on the regulators.
ive replaced both regs on front driver/pass and i know here soon the rears will be next.

just wondering what type of grease i could use that wont get all over the paint or make a mess.

I just use a rubber treatment like 303 Aerospace Protectant or Einszett Gummi Pflege Rubber Care Stick. Just don't use a silicone product. I treat ALL the rubber parts with either of these.

Have you found that care stick in stores anywhere, or do you order it online?

I was just thinking about this yesterday. Since I have owned the car I have felt that the windows have been a bit "sticky," and like Torx said, these windows apparently need all of the help that they can get. For $8 on Amazon, I think I am going to try the Gummi Pflege Stift (love the name).

A little Wd40 works to free them up

hey if you break a clip, then you can order new ones on ebay. Or you can use a soldering iron to reattach the broken piece of the old clip. Yep it works great, did it to mine, broke a clip in two pieces. Took it out and used a soldering iron to remelt the plastic and added more plastic to support it, better than new. These new plastics are great, you can melt them back together, give it a try!
