Do you think it crazy to use new ROH ZS wheels in winter?

I found what I think to be a great deal on these wheels - 5 total in 5x108. Two are deep dish (16x8 pictured) and three are 16x7.

I have always thought these looked amazing. So is it crazy to consider using these in winter? Do you think a good coat of wax would help protect them?

If you want to preserve them dont use them in winter

Thanks, I figure worst case, if the clear coat starts to peel years later, I would remove it and polish them to a chrome finish.
