Well guys I used to be a MarkVIII owner, and I know a lot about the marks. My mark was totalled and my currect car is a 2002 LS V8 now my question is. Is the 3.9 Dohc a modular engine?

Nope, it's a derivative of a Jaguar V8 and has nothing in common with the modular engine family.

The engine in the LS came from Jaguar.
Not exactly. It is derived from the Jaguar AJ-V8, but it's not "from Jaguar." It would be just as correct to say that it's from Cosworth, as it's manufactured using Cosworth processes.

Either way, it's definitely not in the Mod Motor family.

We wish we had mod motors! That would open the door to a whole bunch of great performance mods!!!

yeah I know. Can a 4.6 dohc fit in our engine comp? I have one from my wrecked 97 LSC. That be a sight for sore eyes. But looking at both cars parked next to each other, our engine compartment looks a lot smaller than that of a Marks.

there are many thread on this - the engine will fit (loaded from the top) - but you will not be able to marry the engine to the on-board computer network.

When you do a search - you'll see the discussions (no sense re-posting them)
