This must have just been one of those days or something. Im going to work this morning, late, and the car starts misfiring. ANOTHER dead coil. Fine, whatever, just get to work. At work, everybody is being an :q:q:q:q:q:q:q. Had a headache before I even left for lunch.
So I finally get home for lunch (I live 3 miles form work, so its easy)...
The :q:q:q:qing power is out....!!!!!!! :Bang They were working on the lines up the road. And of course, fresh out of lunch meats, so I can't even make a sandwich.
Back in the car, misfire my way over to Burger Hell, wait in line at the drive thru for 25 :q:q:q:qing minutes! And by now my lunch break is over, so I have to eat in about 35 seconds and get back to my job.
The afternoon went just as well. One of the sales weasels tried to pin some BS on me that wasn't even my fault, even had proof. After about 15 minutes of back and forth arguing, I finally have had enough and just cussed him out, which I probably shouldn't have done, but I was pissed, and it made him shut the :q:q:q:q up. Manager tells me to cool my jets, calls me into his office, tells me he knows I was in the right, I didn't have to go that far, and the sales weasel deserved it, but watch my language around customers next time. :p (yeah he's cool like that) Guess who got sent home?

NOT ME!! :D Then all the other sales weasels (who were tired of the other guys crap as well) are giving me pats on the back and high fives, which took the tension out of the last 2 hours of the day.

Got off work and misfired my way on home, got halfway and blink! There goes the CEL! So I bypass home and head straight for the parts store. Read the code, buy a new coil and head home to install it. Let the car cool off til about 7:30, coil goes in in less than a half hour, and the LS is running strong again. So I head out to do a victory burnout in the country. Nice one too. The weather is getting nice and cool at night here, so there was plenty of cool air for the engine to breathe, which meant plenty of horsepower on tap. :D

And a shtity day ended up pretty decent.

It's always something though. Just when you think you've got some spare cash to buy something nice for the car, something happens and you end up spending part of what you wanted to use to hook it up, to fix it.
Not that I'm short on cash or anything, I just don't sink every spare penny I have into the car. So when I do get a decent chunk of change saved up from paying bills and all that, I do like to treat the car to something nice as a thank you for getting me where ever I need to get to. In this case, I was getting ready to order a case of AMSOIL this week, and make the switch to full synthetic. Probably won't happen now until early October, but oh well.

Anyway, time for me to [/rant] :blah:
Thanks for listening.

A day in the life of an LS owner. I think this is scripted some where and repeats at random locations around the US everyday.

Sounds like you got a good sense of humor and can blow this sort of BS off easily. Sales people suck but I do appreciate their making the deals which keeps my lights on at home...
