Disabling Daytime Running Lights

I've searched all over the forum, and couldn't seem to find a solid solution to disabling the daytime running lights. They're annoying, really an insult (like you aren't going to notice that you can't see the road?), and they just drain your battery. I have a big day with my Mark tomorrow. Painting the calipers, bleeding the brakes, cleaning up the engine, modifying a few things, giving it a full wash and detail, replacing the ignition, etc. So I figured I should get these damn daytime running lights out of the way as well. Only Canadian marks came with day time running lights. If that's what you have start looking for how the were modified for Canada.
If you have a us model you have Auto lights and can just turn them off.
