Hey guys, sorry for been a pain in a neck but I have a question about Differential Pinion Bearing maybe some of you would have an answer:
Would a 8.8 m082088 fit in place of m88048 in 8.0?
Thank you, Nikolay

Nevermind. Missed where you said bearing and not just the entire rear diff. Serves me right for being on the phone and replying on here. No idea on the bearing.

You are wondering if the diff bearing from the 8.8" one will fit on the 8.0?

On my application (the limited slip came out of an 8.8" 04 mustang gt) the bearings were identical.

sorry I can't be of more help.

ooops it's m802048, sorry and here how my dif looks like haha

D'oh! pinion bearing, not diff bearing?

I never removed the pinion when swapping out the carrier.

well, I'm actually doing all that because of it. putting a LSD in just because I'm already there.

Here's the other part #. They are different sizes.

fyi, if you need carrier shims (i'm assuming you will) the shim kit for the 8.8 works for the 8.0. they don't make a shim kit for the 8.0.

If Im Taking the Thread I Apologize But.....

My Rear Differential Is Over A One Hundred Miles Over Due For
Maintenance. What Should I Do Buy A Whole New One Or Get
The Local Jiffy Lube To Work On It.
