I have low rpm shake when shifting 1-2/2-3, I wonder if replacing Differential Fluid with something with friction modifier would cure the problem? Car has 210k now and never been changed.

If you are taking the time to add a friction modifier why not just change out the differential fluid especially if you have 210k on fluid.

Sooo...can we sue lincoln when our trannys blow up because they say they are unservicable? or rather, the type that doesnt need servicing? mine is started to shift hard, stock fluid @ 123k

Does anybody know how often you're supposed to change your differential fluid? I've had it changed once since I've owned it between 64k to 115k.

Should have the intervals in the owner's manual service schedule. I have always shot for every 50k on tranny and diff. and never had any issues.

Yea I just changed mine when I hit 50K as well.. Stuff was nasty coming out of there..
