Different size Rims

this is something i was curious about... my friend has a crossfire and they run those sizes and i love the way it looks gives it an aggressive stance, but thats how it comes stock so i don't know about what it looks like aftermarket or if it would screw with the cpu...
Yeah I would like to give this thing a nice lil stance. Make it look a lil more rougher and beefier. ( is that a word) LOL

It would work and as long as you stay within the Plus Sizing you should be fine with real minor speedo changes. I don't think it would effect anything else. I'm no expert when it comes to the LS' cpu and stuff.

? you run staggered wheel sizes on two sets of rims? how many rims do you have?! cuz he was saying not different widths but different rim sizes..

I have 3 sets of wheels for my car
17x7 Stock Chrome LSE wheels:
255/45 tires all around
18" Jag S-Type R Wheels:
Rear 18x9.5 with 285/35 tire
Front 18x8 with 245/40 tire
19" Fondmetal wheels 19x8 all around
Rear 255/40 tire
Front 245/35 tire

I see you added the last part to your post about the different rim sizes. You can run a 18" in back and a 16" wheel in front if you wanted to as long as you made up for the difference in tire sidewall height to try to get them as close together as possible.

^^ Agreed. If the overall tire diameter is different from front to back your wheels will be spinning at different rates. This will cause Traction control to activate. It may not do so until you get up to highway speeds depending on the amount of difference in tire diameters. Once the TC activates it will either brake the wheels it thinks are spinning or reduce engine power until you slow down.

you have any pics of the rear of your car with the 285's? Thats gotta look so mean..........

You want to get them close but its not necessarily true about the differences in diameter. My rear tires are 1.2" taller than my fronts and I have no issues with traction control. If that was true then the traction control would go off each time that you take a turn since the inside tire spins less than the outside tire.

I should by next week. I have my 285 tires unmounted for now until I get my limited slip differential in this weekend. That way if I get stuck in a little bit of snow with the 285's on I will still be able to get around
