2000 LS6.

I've changed 3 coils before so I know what that miss feels like. Very clear that 1 cylender is off.

Lately I have a mis/stumble that only comes on when the car has been on for more than a half an hour or so or hot.

Sometimes rapid-fire where its missing all over the place and others just a one off.

I changed the VCG on the driver side which was bad with oil in 2 of the 3 wells but that didn't help at all.

What would cause this type of mis/stumble?

Thanks,
Asim

Forgot to mention that I hooked up my buddies $2000 scan tool and no codes.

Quick, thanks so much. Do you know if that would blow a code?

I don't have a V6, but that sounds like it might be a problem with the PCV hose. I read that several times here.

{edit} Looks like someone beat me too it. Nevermind.

What about the PCV valve explains why this only happens it gets hot?

I do use a K&N btw.

V6 mis-fire - Changed everything!

Guys,

2000 V6. Mis-fire, more of a sputtering/stumble only when the car is hot. After its been on for 30 mins or so.

Changed:
all 6 coils
Valve cover gasket
upper intake gasket
PCV elbow
fuel filter
spark plugs

What the heck is it?

Again, runs fantastic until about 30 min of driving. At a constant rpm (highway) it feels fine, but as soon as i have to accelerate after a stop or anything, its bad. BTW, it doesn't mis when I rev in neutral (stick). Also at idle, like at a light, it does mis every 5 seconds or so.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
