Depinning COP connectors

So the plastic tabs on half (luckily the half not under the intake plenum) on my COP's are broken off and being held on by zipties. I bought 6 Ford pigtails for the connectors but I'd rather not cut and splice my way into the harness. I'd rather take them apart and swap the busted clips for new ones. What tool do you need to do that since my Delphi/Metripack/Weatherpack tool will not release the pins from the plastic plug.

I just broke the connectors apart to free the pins.....
 
I've used a needle to release the tabs holding in the pins on other types of connectors (fuel injector). Should work just the same.
