Pat Cadell is a veteran political strategist and pollster for the Democrat Party. He worked closely with George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Gary Hart, Biden, and Jerry Brown. The man is an old-school Democrat, one who is alarmed by how radical the party has become in recent in years.
And because of this honest criticism of his own party, he's become a bit of a pariah. Keep in mind, he's not a Conservative by any stretch of imagination. He's not, despite the attacks on him by Democrats. He's not. However, when he gives his opinion, he tends to do so honestly, whether or not the analysis makes "his side" look good or bad.

he was "fired" from his unpaid advisory position with the Romanoff campaign in California. If you don't know who Romanoff is, he's the progressive guy who photoshops minorities into the campaign photos on his website.
Does Romanoff and the Democratic party have a right to disassociate themselves from Caddell? Certainly. But what does it tell you about the modern Democrat party when the guy who worked closely with McGovern, Carter, and Jerry Brown, the guy who was largely responsible for inspiring Carter's malaise speech, is not "Democrat" enough for this radical party now??
