My guess is.....

If for no other reason than to snub Hillary and kiss up to women.

I say Hillary.
He needs her if he is going to have any chance at winning in november.
She is the only one that dems want besides the current potential nominee.
Many dems will jump on the McCain wagon just because they are uncomfortable with Obama but, if Ms Hillary is on the ticket, that will change things.
I seriously doubt McCain could pull off a win if Hillary is the dem choice for vice president. (or President)
For sure this is going to be an interesting convention next week.
If Obama chooses her before the convention, she has two options as I see it.
Either accept it, or take her case to the floor in a roll call vote for the nomination.
This could well be Obama's reason for choosing her before the convention, offer it to her so she won't go through with a roll call vote , that he could possibly lose.
I can hardly wait for next monday.
Bob.

Would be the dumbest move evah.

Yes, please please please pick Chet Edwards, Barry! Think of the juxtaposition possibilities! Enquirer photos alongside his pic!

There's suddenly a bunch of buzz around this guy:

Obama still doesn't understand that every time he edges further to the right, he loses more support. This would finish him for sure.

I wish to God both Obama and McCain would have their campaign consultants bused into the middle of a very deep lake.

I don't know about that; McCain is kicking Obama's ass in the campaign right now.

Weird...my local news said Bayh is the pick, but all the interweb sources say Bayh is out.

The AP and Fox News have just confirmed that Biden is Obama's pick for VP.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware is Barack Obama's pick as vice presidential running mate, The Associated Press has learned.

Biden, 65, is a veteran of more than three decades in the Senate, and one of his party's leading experts on foreign policy, an area in which polls indicate Obama needs help in his race against Republican rival John McCain.

The official who spoke did so on condition of anonymity, saying they did not want to pre-empt a text-message announcement the Obama campaign promised for Saturday morning.

+1 for Obama, the Oval is as good as his.

I really doubt that. Arrogance and condescension doesn't get you the Oval office, and that is ultimately the most that Obama and Biden have to offer.

Do you really think Obama is that inevitable right now?! Maybe Bryan is right and you do live in an alternate universe.
Then again, in many ways, that's what California is... ;)

I still think Hillary is a force to be dealt with.
Odily enough, things could work in her favor.
First, the Michigan and Florida delegates will be counted with full votes, no half votes as was determined a while back.
Second, she speaks Wenesday night, followed by Bill the next night.
Third, her name will be placed in nomination, and fourth, they will have a roll call vote.
That is an impressive list of things that could swing the nomination to her, leaving the "cocky" black dude out in the cold.
Having the largest voter count in the history of the primaries(eighteen million) won't hurt either.
Obviously the general voting public want her, now she needs to convience the delegates she is the right choice.
I really feel this convention is going to be full of surprises.
Bob.
