On my car, the rollers at the bottom door hinge that helps keeps our
doors propped open is so worn out, its useless. I am thinking of making
my own but not sure what material to use.
My design would be a little different from factory or the one offered by
SCP. It will have some properties which will avoid the concave scarring
that is commonly found in our stock rollers now.
I am considering using Delrin Acetal for its low friction and long wear
life characteristics. Beta testing will be done by spring. Should be
available to everyone by late spring - early summer.
