degas bottle problems

I've recently replaced the degas bottle on my 03 lincoln ls v8 and since i did that it seems to be making noises from there while driving like it is pressuring up and the coolant is filling the bottle while driving and when i kill the car it sucks back into the motor.This never happened until i replaced that bottle what did i do?Please help!!!!!
 
Could it be a sign of air in the system and all it needs is to be filled and bled using the proper procedure?
 
i have already bled the system and yes i know what i'm doing i have replaced everything on my car myself radiator,water pump,cht sensor in which i had to remove the intake manifold and every plastic part on this car and i will make as many threads as i feel like to whoever posted that!!!!!

That's a good way to stop getting any help. Previously, a link to the fill and bleed procedure was posted (I later posted a link to the exact procedure for your year). It's clear you didn't follow it because you were still asking questions that were clearly answered in the procedure.

Do you really want help, or do you just want to complain?
 
listen guys i'm just annoyed at my car and really appreciate the help and advice everyone has given.I'm going to go over the steps again tomorrow very closely and precisely and hope it works.Thanks again for the help.
 
haven't heard but aluminum would be cool.I bled my system according to the instructions to the t and so far looks good but haven't driven it down the road very far yet.Keep my fingers crossed
 
I have made one and it didnt fit. I tried to make it too close to the factory shape and it was about a 1/4" too big on one side. This is bottle number 2. I will be making bottle number 3 soon...like this week or next

What would the price point be on those? Are you doing what you did with the heatshields?

I am doing well on the heatshields, probly about 120 or so sold between LVC, Ebay and Thunderbirdsnest.com. The aluminum degas bottle...I dont know if I will be producing more than one finished product. There is 8-10 hours or so in labor and around $100 in parts alone. I dont hink I could sell many at the price that would make it worth while for me. I'd guess $300-400. When I get the final product complete I will decide then and maybe gauge interest from the group.

Damn. Someone enjoys quality time with their tig machine! ;)
Looks really nice. Those are some clean welds.

Thanks for the compliment. I do love my TIG welder. This project is the first time I ever TIG welded aluminum plate. It has been a good learning experience. Aluminum is very difficult to learn how to weld with no instruction. Weldingtipsandtricks.com helped me alot
 
If you could get these down to $250 each that would be awesome. Maybe use a lower grade metal? Any metal is better than plastic.
 
I wanted to stick with aluminum because the block and heads are aluminum. I don't like mixing metals. I could explore stainless steel but it woulnt save cost, but it would cut down on the labor

It's too bad you can't cast aluminum.
