I took my car up to the dealership to have a extra copy of a key made and it was 85$ thats not the rip off part, as company procedure they do a free 10 point inspection check, and they said I needed a brake flush(300$) & new air filter(200$), they where ask me do I want to do it, and they said it will cost 593$.

You should change the brake fluid every couple of years, though $300 sounds pretty high. Same for the air filter. The filter is less than $50.

Beading brakes is a DIY it just takes some time and maybe $30 in brake fluid depending on brand.

Air filter $20 and total 15 min of easy DIY.

Be glad you dont have a VW or Audi, or keys cost a lot more than that. They are 2 piece key and remote, parts are usually about 170, then 1 hour labor to program the immobilizer and remote, so usually about 270

As for the barake flush, they usually cost anywhere from 89.95 (quicky lube places) to 169.95 dealership, so 300 deff sounds high. Even 200 for air filter seems steep

If you have 2 keys that start the car you can buy a third and get anyone to cut it for you and program it yourself. However if you only have 1 key (like myself) it requires the dealer to program another key. So just an FYI if anyone with 2 keys wants another one.
