Saw that the lights are on sale and though I would let everyone know. Does anyone use HID's for the Brights? I know they take some time to turn on and I can see how that wouldn't be very useful.

I wonder how the turning off and on with the brights would be on the ballast

My brother did that in his SRT-4 w/ projector headlights. Probably mad glare and I'd only use them if I knew I wouldn't have to turn them on and off periodically for oncoming cars. Probably not good for the ballasts as mentioned.

I'm interested in doing it so all of the lights have the same color to them. White HID's with yellow highs and fogs. Personally not a fan.

My ddm lights take about 10 sec to warm up to full light output, so if you driving on a dark road you would be blind for a little bit when switching lol. I know the gen 2 lights keep the highs/lows on at the same time but gen 1 turns the lows off when the high is on.

which is something that every 1st gen owner should take care of when converting to HID's
