does anyone have a pic of the DCCV installed on GEN 1 LS.

i removed the ford clips at the valve instead of the quick disconnects...and i forgot which side of the DCCV the hoses go to.

i just need 2 know where the top 2 hoses that sit side-by-side go. thanks

I have no clue about Gen1 beyond this; There is one larger line, and two smaller lines. The larger line is the incoming flow, the two smaller ones go to the heatercores. The two on top "should" be the two smaller lines, if you connect them backwards, the heat controls will be reversed (i.e. turning the driver's control to max heat will put out max heat on the passenger's side).

So, worst case scenario you will need to reverse them.

thanks for the info...
i installed the new dccv and i still only get hot air when i put the climate temp to anything.. i put the hoses in the right order cuz when i set the temp high, it goes hot, but it wont get cold air...when i did the ops check i got cold air after letting the heat run at max like the book says...i checked the fuses and topped off the coolant, still only hot air....whats next???

Gen1 has a bypass door that can cause something similar. It would produce DTCs in the climate system. There is a self test for the climate system, I think you hold OFF and FLOOR together for a few seconds and release it. if it spits out any codes write them down and google them or search on this forum.

i just ran that test for the climate system and it was all "8" except for the digit right after the fan strength indicator bars, it was shaped like " -l "

i dont know what that means...i wouldnt even know how to google it. I'll try and take a pic...i did check the fuses in the kick panel, both of them good...yeah and im in Vegas now 2...its cute with no a/c...the xcal kinda makes up for it...

my coolant engine fill cap does have the smallest pinhole leak...could that be a factor of not getting cold air???

i think that -1 is supposed to appear like that, i belive those are the only things tht can illuminate in those two sections.

well i bought a can of that r134a recharge...it work for the whole day yesterday, ice cold air. I went to start up the a/c 2day and the ish was blowing hot again. So i bought the refrige recharge can with the gauge on it and it said my stuff was over serviced....

How do i "bleed" some of the refigerant so i can get back into normal levels.

i know its illegal not to have it contained n all that but.......

F*cking gay, I am having the same :q:q:q:q problem too. Sometimes AC works sometimes it doesn't. I haven't had time to look at it tho, and figure it.

OH yea, subscribed. :)
