I am trying to remove the radio from my 94 Mark. I have the FORD removal tool, I slide them in the holes and slowly pull and the radio stays and the tool comes out. Am I doing something wrong?

the tool moves the clips holding it in. You need to pull them away from eachother and then pull towards you. If that doesnt do it, it sounds broke-o's

Damn this thing lol. Well when work slows down tonight I will try it again.

I feel dumb now lol it was so easy. I slid the tool in and gave it an extra umph and pushed each tool to the sides as I pulled and right out it came. Now my new head unit better show up tomorrow.

The tools have a tendency not to slide into the clips right. After doing a few you get a feeling for where to slide them, the first ones hard.

The message center "pops" right out, just get your fingernail in there and lift. I know you got it out all ready, but when you put the new one back in its easer to get it in with your hand behind it. Especially if you have additional components installed in the rear of the head unit. Like RCA cables and alarm components.
