gotta check engine light on for the first time the other day. took it to autozone and they stuck the reader on it and it came up with code p0302 cylinder 2 misfire. my car is runin like crap outta nowhere. feels like the powers just gone? what should I expect when I take it to the dealer tommorrow? any input would be apreciated. thanks!

you should expect a bad coil. figure 100-200 at the dealer. if they find oil in there and want to do the gaskets you could expect up to 1000 or so...

dont bother taking it to the dealer, unless your under warranty... its coils, everyone had this or will have this problem.... get the coils from rockauto.com, u will also have to do the valve cover gaskets and spark plugs

Diy

I say get them from pantysniffer on ebay. cant beat the price (29.99) and i got them in 3 days. do a search for coils on here. youll find him. not hard to do at all.

If my car has 50,000 miles and i am going to chance the last 2 coils that are old should I change all of my 8 Spark Plugs??

if u ahvent changed the plugs since u got it id change the plugs, use motorcraft stock, other brands cause misfire. plus, if the car hasnt got the headcover gaskets replaced to the updated grey ones, then those need to be replaced. also, the cheaper route to go with on the coils is just replace the ones "if" thay have oil or wutever is misfiring, in ur case number 2. but a complete tune up would b to do them all. you'll save thousands if you do it all urself. once u do one side it gets easier. start with passenger side. ahve fun wrenching

Did the tune-up today I Got Mobil 1 Syntethic Oil,Original Oil Filter,Fuel Filter,Motorcraft Spark Plugs and 3 Coils since my dealer replaced 6 2 months ago and 2,000 miles.I drove the car to pick up my sis from school and the difference is noticable with all this new stuff

Ohh the gaskets are barely new since the dealer replaced the coils and the gasket

Thanks for all your help guys
