Alright guys (gals), after many hours of cutting, welding, fabricating, I finally finished my intake project. This is a TRUE cold air intake with 3.5inch piping. The filter and MAF are KKM. Piping from intakehoses.com. And all the misc. parts I found in the garage and are welded by me. :) It took me ALONG time to get this worked out because like alot of you know. There is NO room to work in the fender. Take a look and tell me what you think. -- Cameron

-- Sorry for the crappy photos. Ill take better ones in the day time.

Very nice, dude! Exactly what I was going for, except I need to have the filter mounted up near the corner of the fender which I'll get to once it warms up around here.

What size are those two fittings on the tube off the TB? Just for future reference when I go to continue mine..

Looks very nice. I want to do something like this for my 04 v6 when the weather gets warmer outside. I have a couple questions for you...
It appears you have 2 black silicone bent hoses and 3 short rubber adapters. Is this correct? What length/angle are the silicone hoses?
How did you connect the two vacuum lines to the intake hose between the MAF and the engine?
What welding did you have to do? It appears all your parts are non-metallic and you enlarged the hole out of the engine bay by bending the metal.

I have limited access to tools and will have to work in the parking lot at my apartment so the more information I have to begin with the better off I will be.

Once again, great job man! It looks great!

Ill post the parts I used soon. For those of you who dont have alot of tools, this project might not be for you. It was alot of work with the welder and dremel. Ill get back to you guys soon. (really busy at work :))

in the corner???? man good luck. It took me FOREVER to get this fitment with all the bends and everything.

Yeah well...it's either up in the corner of the bumper or nothing. Filter would sit nearly on the ground and exposed otherwise. :(

So what size are those two fittings on the tube off the throttle body? I need to order those and weld them in and have no idea what size they are. Thanks :)
