Custom Coils

that's unfortunate. your car knew that there was going to be a new product out there and got anxious, ;)

Well, it is fixed for now.
I pulled the engine cover off and replaced the coil.
There was just a hit of oil in the bottom of the hole, but it was not enough to have effected anything I mean it did not even come up to hex on the spark plug.

But I tell you even the aftermarket wants to rape us. I had my friend at the parts counter order a mustang coil from the local warehouse so I could look one over and see how hard it would be to make them work in the v6. Unfortunately the one in the box was not the correct coil.
But what really got me was price difference for the two coils.
One coil for a 99-04 cobra had a counter price of 24.95.
One coil for a 99-02 mustang gt (don't what was up with the years here 99-04 are all the same) had a counter price of 28.95.
One coil for the 02 lincoln ls had a counter price of 65.81.

WTF, If I did not already get the 'friends and family' pricing plan at this store (the coil only cost me 32.60), I think I would have gone nuts.

so i got in contact with curt and he told me to call joe but he will not be at the shop till monday. so i'll get in contact with him on monday and we can arrange a day which i can take the car out there. hopefully it'll be late next week. just updating progress on the HD coils

Roger that, I'm sending my bad one to Curt directly so that we can get his people moving on this.

Thanks for keeping us informed Rick, I'll tag up with you late monday so we know where we stand.

I'm really trying not to get pissed about this since it seems that my contact at GMS was not interested in our business.
