so when i first bought my ls, i used it as a cruiser. enjoying life going ten below the speed limit. getting all the attention i could handle and slowing down just to show people how great our cars are. but now, i find myself speeding, racing, and all the other things i used to do in my mustang. i blame it on you guys. its all you alls fault. i am actually starting to think about getting lightweight rims, reversing my doors, taking my system out, just so i can compete with a lexus that handed me my @ss the other day. i see the hp threads and it all brings back memories. maybe i will just get another car for speed. something like a honda. lol j/k

THIS IS EXACTLY THE ISSUE I AM FACED WITH NOW!!!

The LS was my first car and I bought it with the help of a cosigner and a pretty decent job when I was 19 with the intent of "pimpin and cruisin". Now after going to the races in my area and realizing the LS was a little faster than I thought I've decided I need more power.

Right now the LS is my only car so I have to be careful with it, I really don't like beating on it like I do. So basically I've decided to go spend $5,000 on an old Z28 or mustang and use that to turn into an 11-12 sec car and use the LS as my "wow that's sharp" ride....

I went the other way. I used to beat on the LS a little bit, not clean it or take care of it. I'm out of that stage, try and go around the speed limit, clean it, and maintenence it as much as possible.

i bought mine to have a nice ride because all my friends have beemers... but i ended up raping thoes beemers and alot of other cars and now im trying to compete with camaros and mustangs :( not good but i love the way LS gets underestimated.....

Agreed...thats why I dont want to get rid of it. I don't think their is another car like the LS out there in terms of its combination of prestige, beauty, style, affordability and performance...
