Hey all, I replaced my clockspring and that didn't resolve my cruise problem, so a quick scan with forscan pointed me in the direction of a bad cruise release switch at the brake pedal. After replacing it my cruise was finally working again. Now a few days later it quit working again. After another scan with forscan my release switch and brake switch check out fine, the servo checks out fine with the KOEO and KOER tests. However I intermittently get a speed control unable to hold speed DTC and throttle body input DTC during the KOEO test. However I am physically able to see the servo pulling the cable at the throttle body open. I scoured the forums for any relative information but dug up nothing. I'm guessing because no one ever had a problem with the Gen 1 v6 throttle body (00 v6). Can anyone shine some light onto this?

(I am assuming that you mean that the servo is pulling the cable and the cable is pulling the throttle open.)
It's not the throttle body if the gas pedal is working. It's either the servo on the cruise control (probably), or the throttle cable between the cruise servo and the throttle.
Does the cruise work for a little while and then fail, or is it completely dead?
It's completely dead, no cruise light either. The throttle cable from the servo to the TB is moving as it should and it operates the TB as it should during the KOEO test.
Also I am experiencing random stalls when I come to a stop. Usually almost every time when I pull to a stop the car has a really really rough idle (drops to around 150-200rpm and comes back to around 500-600rpm.

What if it works for about an hour then just shuts off ?
turn off car and restart and works fine for awhile again.

Usually that's the servo/module.

Vacuum leak(s), IAC, MAF, TBS, ...
After cleaning the throttle body, my cruise now works again but only for a short period of time before it cuts out completely and is unable to engage again until the next restart. As stated earlier by joegr, perhaps the servo is on its way out. It hasn't been used in all the years I've owned it since 2012 and maybe add on a few years from the previous owner(s).

My V6 does the same thing, sets the same code about not holding speed. It's not the end of the world, but it's a pain when you are in an area that is tightly controlled and some dork is tailgating you while you are 5-10 over the speed limit. That is about all I use cruise control for. Long trips can be made better with a working cruise, but it's not too often that there is any one lane on a highway that supports using one set speed in my neck of the woods, so no great loss there.
