The coolant crossover tube is fugly. Anyone ever done a version in braided steel lines?

No... but I have one that I cut and welded, just need to finish smoothing it out...

i have a spare one if you wanna play around and make it pretty somehow, and why is it ugly? is yours all rusted and looks ugly, or are you saying the design is ugly?

I just think its a :q:q:q:qty design and yes mine's rusty and ugly. The bleed cap design sucks too. I'm also a big fan of braided lines. I think I'm gonna sandblast my intake and powder coat it to match the aluminum valve covers and matching intake tube.
I've started cleaning up the engine compartment, but its a lot of work without being able to steam clean or power wash it. I was thinking of dry ice blasting since it leaves zero residue.
I'm going to modify coil mounts and other brackets to clean it up this spring.
Lots more mods coming- ordered Mach 1 front lip, have cleaned up HID housings and new HID kits on the way. New grill and LMS hood and wing are waiting to go on.
