I'm paranoid too. I'd like to just park it until I can get my new LCA's, but my stepson's Accord crapped out on him and he's driving my Exploder to work and back so I have to drive the Mark. It'll be my luck the fruggin' ball joints will fall out on me going 70 on the bypass on the way to work. That'll be a sad day
I had a 91 Cougar and I put a brand new Ford lower in it when I bought the car as a wreck. Had the alignment done after I all the body work and frame straightening. Drove the car for a couple of years so I put about 50K miles on it. Pulled off the highway for lunch one day and all was good car never made a noise ever. Came back to the car after lunch put it into reverse and turned the whell and the car fell on its face when the lower ball joint came apart. I am so glad it happened in the parking lot as I had my 7 year old with me and if that happened on the highway in Toronto I am not sure what would have happened.
I learned a lot about these suspensions that day!!!!
we have an 89 xr7 that creaks all the time in the cold. and has as long as dad has had it. which was like new.
150k ish miles now, probably time for some ball joints (and a trans ).
