so lately the mark has had a hard time starting......cranking for 10-15 seconds then fires up and is great. Now this weekend with the weather in the 90's, the car is acting weird.....after driving for an hour it begins to run with a miss un the upper end and if i shut if off it won't start...let it cool for an hour or so and its fine again......the temp never went over the "A" on the temp gauge.......any ideas??

I dunno, tired fuel pump, how much fuel is in the car. I am sure you know running it low will overheat the fuel pump and shorten the life as well.

plugs and wires are less than 1 month old.....auto lite plugs, 764's with .54 gap and wires are brand new ford racing from max......the car cranks but wont start when hot......i'm thinking bad coil pack????

could be allot of things
fuel injector stuck open = flooding the car
starter on it's way out
loose ground wire
battery cables all good?

no, if i cycle the key a ton of times it doesn't help either......i put in a stock replacement pump......as for the not starting in the hot, today 94.....after it got warmed up ran crappy....no power...tonight 73 degrees....ran like a champ even after car was warn and it started.....WTF???????

It sounds like you probably have a bad connection somewhere with the fuel pump, MAF, ignition coils or something else and when the temp gets hotter its just enough to make the connection worse. when the car is acting up again thats when you should do some tests on it like a fuel pressure test. Even if the engine light isn't on you should still check for codes

The first thing you should do though is check the battery and the alternator, it wouldn't be the starter because the sarter wouldn't cause the car to run wierd it just wouldn't start

agreed!!! They do hate me!!! Well my lincolns do....my grand prix...is a pleasure :)

Yeah well my Mark is hating me too as of now. Prolly more cause I have the WRX down to do a header gasket swap so the Mark is my only driver right now
